Banana Cake and Chocolate

ingredients:


     For the cake:
     150 g flour
     1/2 teaspoon baking powder
     250 g very ripe bananas (or 2 medium bananas)
     100g butter, softened
     100 g caster sugar
     1 sachet of vanilla sugar
     2 eggs
     5 cups milk
     50 g of chocolate chips
     For the chocolate sauce:
     1 vanilla pod
     25 cl of liquid cream
     1 tablespoon honey
     100 g dark chocolate pastry


Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 ° C. 
  2. Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl.
  3. Peel the bananas and mash with a fork on a plate. 
  4. In another bowl, mix the soft or melted butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and then add the bananas, eggs and milk. Continue mixing until the mixture is frothy. 
  5. The stir into the flour and baking powder and add chocolate chips or chopped 50g dark chocolate pastry. 
  6. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake for about 45 minutes of cooking until the tip of a knife pressed to heart comes out clean 
  7. For the chocolate sauce:
Split vanilla bean in half, scrape the seeds at the tip of a knife and put them with the pod in a saucepan.
Pour the cream, bring to a simmer then remove from heat, add the honey, stir, cover and let steep 30 minutes.
Put the sauce in a bowl, break the chocolate into squares, put them in and then put in the microwave a few minutes and stir until chocolate is melted and incorporated.

Finally ... Serve the cake accompanied by warm or hot sauce.

     Preparation time: 20 minutes
     Cooking time: 45 minutes
     Waiting: 0 min
     Total time: 65 minutes
