Apple Tarte Tatin recipe


ingredients:

  •  Golden yellow apples eight well 
  •  1 roll of puff pastry ( ready-made or homemade ) 
  •  2 sachets vanilla sugar 
  •  some cinnamon
  • 100 grams butter
  • 100 grams caster sugar


Preparation:

  1. Peel the eight golden apples whole . Cut in half and remove the core without breaking the halves. Slice into wedges about 1 centimeter .
  2.  In a round pie pan nonstick , melt over direct heat butter.
  3. Add the flat end of the sugar, and reduce heat to a caramel.
  4. Arrange apples reconstructed crown flat, put one or two in the middle.
  5. Flatten with a spatula occasionally , apples are poached in caramel , which should not be black, but just golden.
  6. Sprinkle apples with vanilla sugar and cinnamon.Out all the heat and cover with puff pastry and press it around the edges.
Place in a medium oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
